Paying for college with âùºìÔº Scholarships
Beyond federal financial aid for college, âùºìÔº scholarships offer you another path to paying for college. Each year, âùºìÔº awards more than $30 million in âùºìÔº scholarships and Foundation scholarships. Unlike many other financial aid options, you do not need to pay scholarships back. If you’re wondering how to pay for college, these merit- and need-based scholarships may be just the answer.

Financial aid for college starts with filing a FAFSA
The first big step toward paying for college is to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Filing the FAFSA is the only way to receive federal financial aid for college, such as federal grants, work-study and loans. By filing the FAFSA (âùºìÔº ID Code 002249), you also provide valuable data that helps us determine your eligibility for âùºìÔº scholarships and other ways to pay for college.

In-person appointments
In-person appointments are subject to availability as employees must clear health checks on a daily basis to be permitted on campus. Please email us at financialaid@davenport.edu or call us at 1-866-774-0004 to arrange an in-person meeting.
- Lettinga Campus: In-person appointments with the Financial Aid Office are available 8:00 am-6:30 pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00 am-5:00 pm on Friday.
- Lansing Campus: In-person appointments with Student Financial Services are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Days and times are subject to the availability of staff.
- Warren Campus: In-person appointments with Student Financial Services are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Days and times are subject to the availability of staff.
âùºìÔº strongly recommends submitting , forms, and paperwork . This is a secure upload feature that minimizes the transmission of sensitive information via email. Please note that the following Financial Aid documents must arrive at the Financial Aid Office in their original form: Citizenship Certification; Statement of Educational Purpose; and the Schell Loan Promissory Note. These documents cannot be faxed, uploaded, or emailed. They must be delivered in person to the Financial Aid Office or mailed to:

To determine which documents or actions the Financial Aid Office is requesting from you, log into the Student Connection and view the information on the 'Home' tab under the 'Unsatisfied Requirements' section.
Financial aid recipients interested in the Incomplete grade option should speak with a Financial Aid Counselor before the request is submitted. Incomplete grades may cause a return of financial aid funds already received, and can also negatively affect a student’s Satisfactory Academic Progress standing.
